The Dobbins ARB document is a fountain of useful definitions: For instance, noise, a necessary component of an airfield, "is considered to be unwanted sound that interferes with normal activities or otherwise diminishes the quality of the environment. It can be intermittent or continuous, steady or pulsating. "Wildlife management is "manipulation of the environment and wildlife populations to produce desired objectives." There are dozens more.
